We tested Parallels Desktop 18 (Pro Edition) on a 16-inch 2021 MacBook Pro with an M1 Max processor, so everything you read below is relevant to the new ARM-based Apple Silicon processors. This software cannot be used to create x86 or Intel-based virtual machines at all when used on an Apple Silicon Mac (and you wouldn’t want to, considering how poor performance would be).
